New York City weekend tour 2015 ghostbusters film locations

Postby ghostbuster_nut » May 2nd, 2014, 12:00 am

So I'm posting this really early so anyone seriously interested can join and save up

So next year is my 30th birthday and to do something different I've decided to plan a trip to New York City to do a ghostbusters film location tour, seeing the firehouse in the flesh is one of my biggest dreams.

I plan to go in April around the 28th, would fly out early Friday and fly back Monday

I'm guessing the bigger the group the better the prices would be, so far I've found a weekend deal for £700 pp that includes all flights and 3 Nights in a hotel with breakfast.

I am deadly serious about going and will make this happen.

So anyone seriously interested please post below

Russ

update: confirmed dates
fly out early on Friday may 1st 2015
fly back on monday 4th may 2015

Colour me interested

I've only been to New York once as a kid so I never thought about visiting the film locations etc, I did enjoy the Christmas parades though :D

Count me as interested also. I've been to New York just less than 2 years ago but would love to go again.

You'll love it.

Sorry to post these pics but we had a great time when we went in 2010. I would go back in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

If you all all going kitted out, your trip will be awesome.

Well I've just found another package, £600 pp flights and hotel, the hotel on this package is uptown broadway deluxe apartment, it's a room only service, 1 room sleeps 7 people.

Or if people want a more traditional hotel, double rooms sleeps 2, got a deal here for £736 pp and the hotel is called broklyn arthouse deluxe.

Not bad prices really

Was you thinking of signing up to the trip ben? More the merrier :)

I'm going to be thinking of booking soon to secure the deal before the prices go

I'd certainly love to go, just don't have any idea at the moment what my circumstances will be by next May. If I'm in a career based job, then that should allow me to go... but if I'm working in retail a year from now, the money might be best saved for something else.

I'll let you know if the situation improves for the better, part of me was enquiring as I would've been worried if you'd been aiming to stay at the Hotel Pennsylvania on Sixth Avenue, that place is a dump.

Not that it'd play much role now, but I stayed with two of my brothers and my Mum at the Hotel Bedford, which is just off of Lexington Avenue and a stone's throw from Grand Central (and the Clamp building from Gremlins II). It didn't have a breakfast service, but was otherwise pretty nice. :)
